What’s a knitter to do with a 20% off coupon for one of their favorite yarn stores???

No Sheep For you, 4 Skeins of Claudia Handpainted for another Chevron Scarf – New straight 5’s for the, ahem, sat upon ones. and some stitch markers for lace.
As luck would have it, Jeanne was able to work her flex day today, so this afternoon we moseyed on over to The Cracker Barrel for lunch and headed on over to the Wooly Lamb. I really enjoy that store – even though they didn’t have the needles I originally wanted – it’s hard not to find something to buy there, especially with a 20% off coupon!!! Jeanne and I were within .35 cents of each other, spending wise – how funny is that!
And then, because I’ve been telling her for weeks – I taught Jeanne to crochet!! And she looks happy about it, too! No cussing, magic loop style even! I’m impressed, she caught on so fast and her stitches are very nice and even. Plus we got to hang out in the “studio” and it was nice. I can see spending a lot of time in this room with my friends.
A little more eye candy – this is my very special new Posy Sock Sack from Nana Sadie Rose!!!!! Sallee makes the most amazing bags, and once I saw these wonderful Sock Sacks, I had to have one. It’s the perfect size to tote around that pair of socks in progress and I can see myself using this constantly. This one has butterflies and dragonflies on it, wonderful pockets on the inside and it’s just perfect. Sallee makes these and many more bags at her site, so go take a look around – the quality, workwomanship and artistry that goes into her bags is just amazing.
Look at this amazing button!!!! Thanks so much Sallee – I truely love it!
What a great way to start the weekend – hope you all have a good one – and Happy Father’s Day to all those Dads out there!!
