Goodies This is my pile of goodies from our trip yesterday, plus, my Ebay yarn came too! It is a huge hank of soft yarn (it’s in the way back in the pic) The Dark Blue hank is Mountain Colors Bearfoot for that scarf for my friend and the Debbie Bliss was on sale and I had to have the Rowan – I loved the first shop we went to and it’s about an hour away, but very easy to get to. Beautiful shop, wonderful people, huge selection of yarn and anything else you can want. The second shop was just a disappointment. Not in the yarn or how the shop was, but the owner was just a nasty person. When we walked in she was on the phone with what could have been a potential customer and she was ranting that she had 15 people in her shop (really she had 7) and she just didn’t know WHEN she wasn’t going to have 15 people in her shop! Then she was behind my son yelling “excuse ME”! and the poor kid had nowhere to go but up. I swear, it pisses me off to see people like this – I would love to have my own shop and I would be doing a snoopy happy dance if I had 15 people I needed to wait on. I realize people can have bad days – but when you depend on those people to buy stuff from ya, suck it up! Yeeesh. The poor girl that worked for her, and just started didn’t even have a clue on how to work the register – and she was getting so nervous. I felt really bad for her. Needless to say, I won’t make the hour and twenty minute drive to that shop again.

Finished up the back of the Jumper and now we’re onto the sleeves. Today should be a quiet day – DH took down the tree (yes, we love to look at it for as long as we can put off taking it down…) and took the younger DS skiing today, so it’s just me, the “warsh” and my knitting. I did figure out how to add some links and a weather pixie last night, so the blog doesn’t look so spare – Simple stuff for most, but hairpulling stuff for me!
